Why I Use Instinct RawBoost Mixers To #Mixitup

Instinct photo and legal information
A couple of weeks ago I told you about the Instinct raw boosters that we have been adding to our food. I really love to #mixitup. If you need a refresher of what I said, you can find it here . Don't worry, it will open in a new window so that you don't lose your spot.

I have had a few people ask us why we decided to try the raw boost mixers and how we came across it. I love the freezer meals that Instinct make and I love some of the canned food too. I like it put in my dinner. While we were on the search for a new kibble for Jenny Sue, ma picked up a bag of Instinct. It had the raw boost in with the kibble and it also was grain-free. We wanted to see if going grain-free would help Jenny Sue's IBS.  Ma quickly found out that I was picking the mixers out of the food but leaving the kibble. I am not a kibble eater.

Raw Boost Mixers on Hook
When we went to the store to pick me up a couple of cans of food, we seen that Instinct had trial bags of just the raw boost mixers. This made ma happy since she knew I liked those bits that were in the kibble. She seen that they were priced at $1.99 so she grabbed a beef and a chicken sample bag to give us a chance to try them. They also have lamb but they don't have it in the sample bags.

Having 3 dogs ma says the chances of one of us liking them can be anywhere from 1 of 3, 2 of 3 or all of us liking something. Most of the time it is a 2 to 3 ratio. I am a very picky poodle. Scooby Doo is becoming picky too. If he doesn't see me eat it, he won't even try it.

Scooby thought the small bags were treats. As soon as we get home he wants some of whatever we bought at PetSmart. Ma opened a bag and handed him one of the mixers and he ate it like a treat. Even though the name says "Raw" the mixer is not actually RAW. It is a freeze dried, grain-free natural soft kibble size boost.  Ma really likes that the chickens are raised cage free. I can imagine chickens walking all around on the farm just clucking away about how their day was. If this is not how it is please don't tell me any different. I have been to a farm where chickens were raised and I walked alongside of them down a road. It was a really nice walk. This is how I want to imagine all chicken farms are.

I know you see that I am being compensated for this post but I was eating the Raw Boost before I was chosen to write about this product. I have been eating these for at least 6mths. If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you have seen some photos of my meals. I have shared photos of the rawboost mixers on top of my food.

I feel like that is one of the reasons I was lucky enough to be chosen to talk about the Instinct Mixers. I will never talk about a product that we do not use. I want you, my readers to know when I blog about products that it is something I am confident in recommending.
I only give HONEST reviews.

I have never tried the lamb mixers. They also have a turkey but our store does not carry it. I love the lamb food and since we went gaga over the chicken flavor that is the one ma has bought the most often. It gives my food a boost of protein

We love the flavor of the chicken and ma said she loves how easy it is to add to our food. I prefer my food flash fried or as some call it, seared. I want it warm. After our food cools off ma throws the recommended amount in our food and gives it a stir. The small pieces are easy to shred too. Just a little squeeze between the fingers will easily shred it to use as a shredded topping. Its easy to use, it is safe to use and as long as she uses it, I will eat it.

Ingredients in the chicken flavor *Chicken (including Ground Chicken Bone), Turkey, Turkey Liver, Turkey Heart, Pumpkinseeds, Carrots, Apples, Butternut Squash, Ground Flaxseed, Montmorillonite Clay, Dried Kelp, Broccoli, Apple Cider Vinegar, Salmon Oil, Mixed Tocopherols, Rosemary Extract, Blueberries, Dried Chicory Root*

  3. very picky eater here ... home cooked meals. But we travel a lot and I am wondering if this may be a good way to ensure nutrients isn't compromised on the road, in the air or on the sailboat.
