The dog days of summer are on us. I don't know about you but this dog stays in the house as much as she can. We go out in the early mornings and in the late evenings but still in Kentucky, we have humidity levels that match the temperatures.

Fleas and ticks don't care about temperatures. They care about where their next food source is. This is why flea/tick prevention is a must.

Don't become the next food source....

Keeping Your Fish Pond From Becoming a Mosquito Breeding Ground

We've had a pond for a number of years.  Each year we change the look of the pond by planting different plants or arranging the house plants differently.

Our goldfish pond in 2013

A pond can help you relax at the end of the day by listening to the waterfall or watching the fish swim around. It can be a calming place that helps your senses slow down from a hectic day. Your pond doesn't have to be huge to help. It can be a small pond with a couple of fish. In other words, size doesn't matter.

How My Vet Helped My Back and Gave Me My Life Back

x ray of a 10 year old poodle.
This is a x ray of my spine. As you can see, there is a joint that is closing up and it was causing me pain. It also was putting me into a early retirement of being a medical alert service dog.

Ma and the vet had a long talk about options to bring me relief from the pain. They tried the conventional stuff like glucosamine chews, I wouldn't eat them. They tried powders in the food, I refused to eat it. They tried different type of chews, powders, pills...did I mention I was a picky poodle?? I would rather go hungry than have to eat of that stuff in my food...
There were many nights we went to sleep with the sounds of my tummy growling.

FLEAS can cause WHAT??!

Did you know that fleas can not only be a nuisance but they can give you tapeworm? TAPEWORMS! Now I don't know about you but I don't want any worms in my body! I don't even want another animal sniffing my butt!!
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of BlogPaws Pet Influencer Network. The opinions and text are all mine.

PLUS That isn't the only thing that FLEAS can do!

So let's talk about fleas and why it is important to keep your pet flea free.
