In early spring, we found a praying mantids nest in our shade garden plants. A group of praying mantis is known as a mantid. We watched the nest ball to make sure it actually was a praying mantis and not another type of bug. The rains started and the nest watch was postponed.

After the rains stopped, we were checking on the plants and pouring the water out of the potted plants when we spotted 5 tiny praying mantises. One of the mantises was super friendly, crawling on ma's finger. This made her happy considering praying mantis are beneficial bugs.

We put the baby mantis on a houseplant and then we lost track of it and all the others.

#WW- A Tale of 2 Cats

Is it time to go out yet? 

Davy is starting to get to go out with ma in the afternoons for some outdoor playtime. He is also getting used to all the sights and sounds of the outdoors. 

Ma says it is good to let him find the safe spots in the yard and it allows him to burn off some of that kitten energy. He has been out 3 days this week and those 3 days he slept like a baby all night long.

Been awhile since I have done a #adopt-a-pet post but I feel I need to start doing them again. There are too many animals out there that need a home and to many homes are in need of a pet. I will be highlighting pets in my area that need homes.

September is National Service Dog Month. I am a Medical Alert Service Dog for my ma. I alert her when something is about to happen to her body, I am able to get her to a safe spot and I can alert another human if she needs assistance. This is only a part of my job because I have been trained in other task also.

BW Sunday- Riding in Style

We went for a drive today in dad's corvette. After going to Farmer's Market, we went on the back roads through the country. The top was off and the wind was blowing through my floof. 

Customer Service Skills Are Not Dead, #Starwood Hotels Keep Them Alive And Well

Hubby and I decided that we would do a weekend getaway in Louisville and go to the Kentucky state fair before it closed. Since he had a business meeting that weekend and would already be staying at the hotel, we could just purchase a additional night. When he got confirmation that he would be staying at a Starwood hotel, I checked out which one it was. We had never stayed at this one before and it looked very nice. 

Carma was sent a gift and I was so surprised and appreciative of it, I wanted to tell you all about great customer service. I have not even thanked them personally yet. These  are my own words and I was not asked to talk about this brand. 

I checked my SPG (Starwood Preferred Guest Rewards) points and seen I was only a few short. I purchased the additional points that we needed and booked our stay. I couldn't wait to get to go to the fair.
