WW-It's Molly Mew's Gotcha Day!!!

Today is Wordless Wednesday but I today is a special day.

It was 5 mths ago today that Sissy Sarah, Ma and I were pulling up in our driveway and seen a car with its hood up on the opposite side of our house. Dad was out there digging around under the hood. Next thing I knew , he had a kitten in his hand. I thought my dad was a magician!

A kitten without a name

The night was very cold and the kitten found a warm spot under the hood of the car. The problem was it was a car of a family moving to a new county that was 50 miles away. The people took off in the car and thought they heard something under the hood but since they only heard it once they didn't pay any attention to it. When they got to their new house they unpacked the car and they left to get another load. They heard the noise again. They listened but it didn't make the sound again. They drove 3 blocks and they heard it again but this time it got louder. When they stopped to look under the hood they didn't see or hear anything. They left and about 2 blocks down the road they heard a loud cry.

Since they knew us they stopped by our house and knocked on the door and asked dad if he could figure out what the noise was. When dad looked under the hood he heard a low mew. He banged around on the car till he heard it again but louder. They investigated more till dad seen something move under the blade cover of the fan. He reached under it and something scratched him. He peered under again and a loud MEW came from it.

IT WAS A KITTEN!!
Dad finally got the kitten out and that is when we pulled up. Dad comes walking with a kitten in his hand and boy did ma go to pieces. She was yelling we don't need a kitten, the humane society is over filled right now and told the couple they need to take the kitten home with them. They weren't allowed pets. Boy was ma mad. See ,people are always bringing pets by trying to get her to take them. She has to remind them this isn't the Humane Society, this is a residence. If she took what was brought here; we would have 15 dogs, 25 cats, 4 guinea pigs and a rabbit in the last 9 mths.

We furkids didn't know what to think about this. We are supposed to chase cats not let them in our house. She didn't know what to think about us.

After a week, we got to know each other. Sarah said she looked like a Molly. This was her name now but she needed a middle name. Every family member has a middle name.

Molly doesn't meow, she Mews. Ma called her Molly Mew on day and she came running to her. She purred up a storm. I think she liked that name.

As the days went by, we learned to like this little kitten. This little kitten liked me. I think I became a poodle for the kitten.Any time she would hide it was my job to find her. Anytime she needed a comfy place to lay down, I became her bed.
Yep, I was a poodle to a kitten.

After a month dad asked if we were going to find this kitten a home. Ma and sissy Sarah said "what kitten??" He said "That kitten" while pointing at Molly Mew laying in ma's lap. Ma said "that isn't a kitten silly! This is a funny breed of dog"

Dad said "oh great, we have a cat".
Molly was spayed two weeks ago and is growing up into a beautiful bluish grey kitkat.

It's been 5 months today that this little girl has been with us. Its been wonderful having a kitten in my life. I look forward to our nightly game of cat in the bag and watching her grow.

    1. I think I am a member of that community but I will double check. For years I wanted a kitty but dad always said no. Guess the big dog in the sky decided I was old enough to have a kitty of my very own. I love her. Molly Mew loves me. She is a part of our family.

    1. I waited 5 yrs for my own kitten. I had to show I was a good girl to kitties by playing nice with my mamaws kitties, the Humane Society kitties and my friends kitties. Some of those kitties weren't nice to me but I always was nice to them. I think the pawents knew I would be a good girl and allowed her to stay.
