WW- Magic Carpet

This weekend I worked on cleaning the patio and vinyl siding with a pressure washer. The potted plants were moved to the other side of the patio. The outdoor rug tossed on the grass to clean later. 

This created a whole new play area for Daedae and Molly Mew. They had their own magic carpet. It was the safe spot. They would run around chasing each other and whoever made it back to the carpet was the winner. 

Sure made me smile. Made me wonder what was going on in their minds. Were they in the jungle? The desert? Maybe on the moon?

These girls came to us with all their brothers and sisters 4 years ago. Yes 4 years ago! What is their crime? They are tabby's and there are tabby's everywhere. All the others have been adopted but still with us is Annabelle and Blaze. 

#WW- A Tale of 2 Cats

Is it time to go out yet? 

Davy is starting to get to go out with ma in the afternoons for some outdoor playtime. He is also getting used to all the sights and sounds of the outdoors. 

Ma says it is good to let him find the safe spots in the yard and it allows him to burn off some of that kitten energy. He has been out 3 days this week and those 3 days he slept like a baby all night long.

I don't know what it is with cats and boxes but I know you put a box down and you catch a cat. I have even seen large zoo cats sitting in boxes.

We Added To The Family!!

We have been buying Molly Mew the same litter since the day we got her. Though her litter helped to control odors, there are things that drives ma nuts. Ma is constantly sweeping up litter. Even with the mats and towels that she keeps around the box , Molly Mew still gets litter everywhere. Some days we think Moly is trying to dig to China. Last month the store didn't have our regular litter in stock so ma bought a different version of the litter we normally buy. That was a mistake. The more Molly dug, the more dust she threw. The more dust she threw, the more ma had to dust the furniture that is near the box and we even found a fine dust floating on top of the aquarium water.

It was time to try something different! When Blogpaws put out a call for bloggers to try out the new litter by Weruva that used hinoki and green tea, I was all over it. Crossed my paws and hoped that Molly Mew would get chosen to try the litter and I would get to write about it. Molly Mew was one of the kitties chosen to try out the new litter! When I told Molly Mew that we would be having a #CatTeaPotty she got excited. 

This is our honest opinion of the WeRuVa cat litter. 

BW- I Should Be Wowing the Cat Ladies With My Leopard Hat

Tell me again why we didn't go to BarkWorld so I could hang out with my blogging friends.
I bought a leopard hat and everything! I was planning on wowing those cat ladies. They would have all gave me kisses just to wear my cool hat.

Having Fun And Exercising Too!

With the leaves falling and the temperatures getting cooler, we get to go out earlier to play. I like it because I don't get overly hot playing poodle ball (fetch) with ma. I could play for hours if her arm would hold out. We look forward to our outdoor time and playing together in the yard.

Hello Weekend, I have missed you! 

Yesterday I got a surprise. The pawents went to the new sports store called Academy Sports and bought me a new tether ball. 

I love playing tether ball. I am a little out of practice but I will be back to being my champion self soon. 

WW- What Wednesday?

Molly Mew found out that other cats celebrate 

#TunaTuesday and #WhiskersWednesday.

She now demands a change in her social media contract. 

BUT.....

Cinnamon thought Wednesday's were #WheekWednesday days

He now wants to reread his social media contract.

I want to be fair but I also want them BOTH to be happy. 

It's gonna be a looooong week of negotiations.

How My Fur Friends Keep Warm In The Winter.

Let's face it, winter is a cold season. Sometimes it can be WAY too cold unless you are a Ky Poodale Bear like me. BOL! That is what Ma calls me in the winter when she lets me become a wooly (bully) poodle. 

My friends, Davina and Indiana from Two Little Cavaliers  are hosting a Keeping Pets Warm Event blog hop. They wanted to know how we keep warm in the winter. 

I have to admit I wrote the wrong blog topic on my calendar. I thought Monday was a different topic until I doubled checked my source and then my paws started to sweat. Problem was I didn't have many photos for this post yet because I thought it was due NEXT Monday!!! So I did the only thing I knew to do. I gave ma the "pitiful look". She couldn't stand it. You know the look that gets you the treat you want or gets you supper early?? Yeah, that look. 

She went online and asked her friends to help me out. Thank goodness for friends! They came through. So please let me introduce you to some of my friends and the ways they stay warm in the winter.

My first friends are Sabrina and Audrey. Sabrina has a wardrobe of many colors and styles of sweaters. Audrey likes to cuddle with Sabrina when she gets cold. Audrey's Christmas present was a forever home. I believe she has fit in quite well.

Next is Macie. Macie likes to wear sweaters in the winter. They keep her warm and I am sure her cuteness gets her an extra treat or two :)

When you are small, you are closer to the ground and they always say that heat rises. When you have short hair, it doesn't keep you as warm as those of us who have long hair that insulates. Jax and Gordy are dachshunds so they were sweaters to keep them warm.

Maggie Lou and Boo Bear like to cuddle in their bed together. When you have someone to cuddle with it generates body heat. I know Scooby Doo likes to sleep on me to stay warm in the evenings.

Some friends like Chewy wear hats to keep their head warm. Some wear jackets and some wear sweaters.

Some like to wear dresses like Jade and even cats appreciate to be covered while they sleep.

Some kitties like Chevy like to lay on top of a blanket is covering your lap or maybe has a heated blanket under it. Remember never to leave a heated blanket on unattended. You do not want your pet chewing the cord.

Scooby Doo loves to wear his sweaters and t shirts. Every day he gets it changed and he always ask for another one right away. If you can't find him all you have to do is look for the cover that is moving on the couch.

What do we do to help the wildlife to stay warm? Ma puts out suet cakes and extra bird feed for the birds and keeps an eye on the water to make sure it doesn't freeze. If it does , she adds a little warm water to the ice to help it melt.

We put out extra food for the squirrels and rabbits who live in our yard. We even have a possum that we feed too! 

She also puts out straw and the dry cuttings from the pampas grass for the birds and squirrels to use in their nest making. 

If you have stray cats who live in your neighborhood you can also help them by putting out cat food at night and making sure they have water. There are also tutorials online about how to make a cat house for strays to help keep them warm at night. Just google "DIY Stray Cat houses" . There are how to take a regular tote (like the ones you store stuff in) and cut holes in it to give the strays or your outdoor cats warm places to sleep at night. 

If you have dogs that stay outside, make sure you use straw in their houses. When a blanket get wet it will actually make a dog colder than they would be without one. If the blanket gets wet, it freezes. Your dog will be sleeping on a bed of ice. If you do use blankets please check them daily to make sure they are not wet. Inspect the house to make sure there is no cold air coming in. 

If temps get to or below freezing, please bring your pets in. I know some outdoor pets do not like it indoors but its just for the night. 

Double check their water to make sure its not frozen. Metal bowls or buckets will freeze and your pet needs fresh water.

Its a Ky Poodale Bear! 

I have my full coat on. I spend 75% of the time panting because I stay so hot. Ma promises to get me a trim down but she hasn't yet. To me , the Ky Poodale Bear, I sure be glad when she calls my groomer! My hair is at 3" thick. That is a LOT of hair.

WW-Puff Kitty

I think I learned something new about Molly Mew Today while we were playing outside with ma, it was 22 degrees.

After about 20 minutes outside I swear Molly Mew grew. When I took a second look , I seen that she had puffed up her fur.We came in after that. 

Molly Mew is a slim kitty but she sure knows how to puff! 

So cats puff up their fur to stay warm??

Molly Mew True Ky Wildcat

Basketball season is about to begin. In this house its a huge thing. Many of my friends and fellow bloggers are football or baseball fans, some are basketball fans and some don't give a hoot about sports. 

We go all out. We don't miss a University of Kentucky game on TV and we call it the "season of yelling" 

The pawents (especially Ma) starts yelling at those refs or players loudly. Molly Mew didn't know what to make out of all that yelling and cheering her first season. BOL! 

Now she is old enough to start wearing the UK Wildcat clothing. Ma has found some of Zen's old clothes that fit her. 

She doesn't know what to think about them. She sits there and allows ma to put them on her but then she keeps falling over. 

Its something new that she is getting used to but her expressions leaves us laughing! 

Ma puts the coat on her for a 15-30 minutes at a time. She is slowly getting used to it. Pretty soon she will be ready for her cheerleading outfit!!

WW-Feeling Fabulous Fashions

Feeling Fabulous

I love clothes. I love to dress up. I love to shop. I don't leave the house without wearing a scarf, shirt or in the winter a jacket but being a big dog , I sometimes have problems finding fashions for me . I know other big girls and guys have the same problem. I am often asked where I get my clothes. I see a lot of clothing that I would love to wear but are always made for the smaller dog but never made for standard poodles , like me. Big Dogs CAN look cute in clothes just like smaller dogs!!!

I will be sharing my tips on where to buy clothing, some sewing projects even my ma could do so I know your mom can do them too and how to dress a large or extra large dog. The coat I am wearing in the photo above was made by ma. Don't worry, I will include tips for the small and medium dog and maybe even cat fashions too. I will also be adding fashion tips about things I love like nail polish. I always have my nails painted purple.
