Flannel Boots

Everyone that knows me knows I love my boots. I like to visit with people and one of the places I like to go is the hospital.  When ever I visit someone that I know in the hospital, my mom puts my boots on me. She says its makes her feel better to know that I am not walking on the hospital floor and then coming home with the germs on my feet. Before I get in the car to go home, she takes my boots off and puts them in a plastic bag so she can wash them. She is not a human that is afraid of germs but why take chances. I have learned that a booted poodle can sure make people smile. I love giving smiles. It makes me happy.
My fancy boots are flannel. They are comfortable and I don't feel like I have anything on my feet. But flannel boots and dry air don't mix well as I recently found out. It's actually quite shocking!
While visiting a friend at the hospital a few weeks ago I was wearing my boots. I felt so pretty because I had my hair brushed and mom had made me a matching scarf. I pranced all the way to the room we were going to visit our friend in. I was getting smile after smile and my tail was wagging from happiness. I thought that  I was feeling a strange buzz like sensation but I thought it was just happiness beaming from me.
I visited for a while and I kept getting this buzz but when it was time to go, I met a person in a wheel chair. She smiled when she seen me and she asked if she could pet me. I walked over to her to allow her to  pet me and when she touched me I got the shock of my life! It was a loud POP and it seemed to echo down the hallway. Even the nurses that was standing down the hall heard it. I almost wet myself. I had never been shocked like that before.
I must have been charged really good because all the way out of the hospital every time I walked by something metal I would get a jolt. I couldn't get my mom out of there fast enough. As we were walking out every time she would touch me I would get a jolt. I finally got to the car and she took my boots off but my coat was already charged. It gave me one last shock when I got in the car. After we got home mom washed the boots and added some fabric softener to the wash water. Now the flannel boots have been put up till next winter and I have some new cotton boots. I have to say I never want to go through that again. Every time I think about it I shudder.

First Post

This is it. This is my first post on my new blog. I am so nervous. I have so much to say but will anyone read it, will they like it, so many questions. Am I just being unsure of myself? The things going through my mind are overwhelming but then I thought to myself, "hey everyone that blogs has to have that  first post," right?
So I have decided I would start out with a funny story. Maybe something funny will break the ice or the cold paws that I have. I have a lot of  stories about myself like the how my pawrents found me story.  I am learning how to build this blog slowly. I am a social poodle who can be found on Facebook or Twitter most of the day. You can find which sites that I am on in the tab "My favorite Places". I will be providing more links to favorite places soon. So check back frequently to see how far I have come. Happy tails to you. .
