Thanksgiving 2012

Today is Thanksgiving and I have to say its been a great day. Last night the pawrents were talking about what they were going to do today. Since my grandma was going to Louisville to be with her family and my ma maw was not wanting to travel, they decided to do something entirely different. They called the President of our Humane Society and asked if  we could bring home some of my fur friends. If ma wants to bring one home she just goes and gets them and then let's the staff know that she has them but we wanted more than just one. We jumped in the van and off we went to get my friends. We got Prissy, Charlie, Zoey and Bentley and we brought them home. Oh the fun began. We ran around the yard, we wrestled, we pulled out all the toys and we partied like we were big dogs.

Scooby, Prissy and Bentley all loved running in the leaves

Zoey loves playing in the Leaves

She wouldn't stay out of them. Then she would stick her tongue out at Ma .

Scooby stuck his tongue out to Zoey

Zoey and Bentley played a game of Chase
We all were running around and playing with each other.

Then dad got in the kitchen and started cooking and all of a sudden Bentley stopped playing and started sniffing the air.

Oh my dawg ,what is that good smell??!

Charlie was all smiles when the food smell filled the house

Charlie was licking the air because it smelled so good.
Prissy was also wondering what it was that smelled so good.

Dad finished dinner and it was time to carve the ham and Chickyum

While the family ate my friends just laid down by the table but they never begged for food.

I laid under ma's chair. I know its rude to beg at the table.
After we all got our part of the meal we played a little while and then it was time to take a little nap.

Bentley says that was good food.
Zoey found herself a comfy place to sleep. Right on Sissy Sarah's lap

Prissy thought my leg was a good pillow.

Bentley fell asleep on the couch

When Zoey got up to get a drink of water , Prissy stole her place

Then Charlie snored so loud he woke everypawdy up and we all went out and played in the leaf piles some more.

So this is how I spent my Thanksgiving. I think it was a great pound puppy Thanksgiving.
Charlie , Prissy, Bentley and Zoey are all available for adoption. They live at the Owensboro Humane Society in Owensboro Ky and are ready to have a home of their own. I pray that this time next year they will all be in their own homes.  If you would like to have more information about them you can contact me or you can email my ma. Her email is Bunny@OwensboroHumane.org

Terrible Tuesday

Tuesday was not a day I want to go through again. It started out fine but as the day progressed it seemed to have a vengeance on ma. After she got back from taking sissy to school early she sat down only to have Prissy, our foster fur kid , knock the cup of coffee out of her hand and it went all over the couch. Ma got that cleaned up and then when she was vacuuming she got a end of a blankie caught in the vacuum and it started stinking of rubber.
She decided to water all her plants. She always uses water from the aquarium so she put the hose in and  filled her bucket and put the hose in the clamp on the aquarium. She watered her plants as usual.

She went and cleaned the back bathroom and when she returned she seen water on the floor. She thought one of the plants had overfilled. But she seen more water,A LOT of water! She screamed for my sissy Sarah to bring her some towels and her screams scared all 4 of us fur kids so of course we come running, we go slipping and sliding all over the floor. Ma is screaming at us to get out of the room but the faster we are trying to get out of the way the more we are slipping, falling and sliding into each other and all over the floor. Ma and Sarah are screaming and we are freaking out because we can't get out of each others way and water keeps coming! Ma opens the back door and starts pushing us out one by one. Sarah screams "Where is it coming from!" Ma screams "I don't know!" We are outside looking in the door barking "let us in!" because we are cold and wet and then..I see ma look up and the look on her face was pure terror. The fish had knocked the hose out of the tank and the tank was less than half full.

We have a 100 gallon fish tank.

Towel and towel had to be used, then blankets had to be thrown down

Fresh towels had to be used to soak up water. Lots and lots of towels.

The culprits...

Sure they look cute but they don't like anything hanging above their tank. They will jump out of the water and hit it. Appawently one of them succeeded in knocking the hose off of its clamp. Ma used a 10 gallon bucket to fill the tank back up.It took 5 1/2 buckets!
Ma said that over 50 gallons of water ended up on the floor.

The rest of the day was devoted in washing towels and all of us.

Well Done fishies....

LOST DOG- 4 weeks today

Today is Friday and it has been exactly 4 weeks since Zen went missing. There has only been 3 sightings. 1 the day he took off, seen by some people who said they seen him running toward a neighborhood, #2 was a lady that said he was in her back yard the next morning but when he seen her he squeezed through her fence and ran down the road. The last sighting was seen on Oct. 25th in a neighborhood a fourth of a mile up the road. During the rest of the days, we  and others have searched non stop. We have had door to door searches, asked people in the neighborhood , put up flyers all over town.

This is tearing my ma and us up. The tears never stop, the worry continues, and the drive to find him gets stronger each passing day. The night temperatures are dropping in the 20's and if he is outside, his body can't handle those temps. We are worried sick.

We won't stop till we find him. Until then please continue to pray for his safe return. All prayers are appreciated.

Have a great weekend and hope to share happy news soon.

Last Day of BarkWorld

After some rest , we had planned to go to Doga. Unfortunately, ma's alarm didn't go off. Appawently we weren't the only ones that also did this.
We went to the Pet CPR Demonstration and Disaster Preparedness session. I did learn a couple things. Then we went outside and viewed the Ford Escape. I will say that was a nice vehicle. I tried to talk them into letting me take it for  a spin around the block but they said dogs can't drive.

That is when my fur friends came out for a potty break. After everyone did their business, Cosmo Havanese and I sat down to chit chat, then Jasmine joined us.

Then Linus came out and joined us. We were barking about this big rainy windy storm that was coming up the coast and how we hoped our friends would be ok and how much we were enjoying Barkworld.

We all wanted to put our paws together for good luck

Cosmo didn't want to do it because he wanted to sit on the table. He cracked us up. He is such a great guy. Battled cancer, going through Chemotherapy but still is happy and almost totally healthy. He inspires all of us.

When we went back in I caught up with my friend Pudgie. I had her sign my pawagraph book. I met her last year at BarkWorld for the first time. We stay connected through Facebook.

While heading into a session room we came across these really cool cake pops. Ma scarfed one down and wanted more. They must have been good because she usually doesn't eat cake.

They also had these really cool strawberries. They looked like they were going to eat you! BOL!

Because we were socializing a little too much we missed one of our sessions. But we went to the next one about how social technologies makes connections. We sat near my friend McGrady. His mom and him help rural shelters. I think that is really pawsome.

But unfortunately I must have had too many treats because I started upchucking. Ma had to take me outside to get some fresh air. After i started feeling better we went back to our room and I had to sleep off the tummy ache. Ma asked sissy Sarah to go to the other sessions in our place so she could keep a eye on me. She needed to rest too.

I think Niqqi could have used a nap too.

That night I was feeling better so we went to the Blog Hop Pawty. That was fun. There was music playing, people were chatting and I had my portrait drawn.

I got to wear my pink dress and I had my photo taken a lot. I felt like a movie star. One thing about BarkWorld is they make each and every one of us feel like we are so special.

After the pawty we called it a night. We had one more night at BarkWorld. Once again ma's alarm didn't go off so we missed Doga again. But this time we did hit the sessions and I didn't get sick.
We got a chuckle out of my friend Angel. This girl knows how to wear fur the right way!
Pepperpom and Jasmine stopped and asked me how I was feeling. I told them good. I have some really great friends.

BarkWorld has successfully ended tonight. I have had a wonderful time. I have learned alot and made new connections. The best thing was seeing my friends and making memories. I love BarkWorld. If you are into social media, blogs, work with companies then BarkWorld is for you.
Next year its in August. I hope I am able to attend. I miss my friends already.

All tucked in and ready to take off.

Thank you Delta for making my flight a great one
Thank you Eukanuba for having the contest of the #Eukanubapawsinmotion and for picking me to be the winner. This was the best thing that has ever happened to me besides being adopted.

The End.
